MAGIC TOUCH

Touchsoul aka Adrian Dickinson is a British DJ with a taste for sweet soulful sounds and 80s funk and boogie. Here are some dance floor faves given his magic touch.

Starpoint was an 80s band featuring the lovely Renee Diggs on lead vocals. Their greatest hit was Object of My Desire from the 1985 album Restless. Touchsoul has given the title track from the 1984 album It's All Yours a slight makeover...

Cherelle is another favorite 80s female singer. Her music was touched by producer duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who provided fresh soulful sounds for artists such as SOS Band, Change, Human League, Janet Jackson and Herb Alpert.

Favorite Cherelle tracks include You Look Good to Me and Didn't Mean to Turn You on as well as the sweet soul duet Saturday Love performed with Alexander O'Neal.

You Are My Melody is another Jam-Lewis production featured on the 1984 album Change of Heart by Italian-American disco group Change.

Howard Johnson was a Miami singer who recorded three albums in the early 80s. His most cherished song is So Fine, the opening track from his first solo album Keepin Love New. Touchsoul has selected the second track from this album for a slight retouch.

The Jones Girls was an early 80s soul group. Their most memorable tunes are You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else released in 1979, Nights Over Egypt from their 1981 album Get As Much Love As You Canand You Can't Have My Love from their 1984 album Keep It CominTouchsoul has selected the lesser known, but truly sweet and soulful song Knockin from their 1983 album On Target.

Unlimited Touch was an early 80s disco group signed to Prelude Records. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1981. It features the club classic I Hear Music In The Streets. Unlimited Touch then disbanded due to some major disputes, but reformed in 1983 and released the album Yes We're Ready. Here's the opening track Yes I'm Ready retouched.
