Paradise Garage was the pivotal nightclub in the transition between 70s disco and later garage and house music. The club was started in 1977, at the end of the classic disco period, and stayed open until 1987. It was located on 84 King Street in New York City in a former parking garage.

Paradise Garage was all about the music and at the center of attention was its foremost DJ - Larry Levan. Here's a recorded session by the master spinner, put on tape at the very end of the Paradise Garage era.
